I've been posting a lot of Disney Infinity art on my blog, so I felt like I should at least give a little love here as well. This guy was really fun to redesign/"Toy-ify." I thought I'd include the messy turn-around as well so you could get a glimpse of the less glamorous side of pre-production.
thumbs up if he's one of your most nostalgic character!
Ha Id but they hell out of that
I remember him well...
Very cool, well done
Looks like Rasoul needs to brush his teeth a little more often.
Man I really love this!!
Fun stuff. Thanks for sharing.
this is absolutely amazing! Really inspiring the way you interpretate light, colors and textures. It really looks like a toy. It is also very nice to see sketches. Canīt wait to attend to your schoolism class. Just one question: I have seen some illustrations of your class and they were backgrounds, do you also teach advanced lighting with characters, such as this, as examples in your class?
Thanks! We talk a bit about lighting and rendering characters. The assignments are pretty flexible though so you can always do more of one than the other if you wish.
I like the bit with all of it.
Love the teeth and the bold lines around his eyes. Nice work, Sam!
is this going to be released? looks awesome
lovely design !
I bought Disney Infinity purely cause I love the character designs...now i'm gonna check out the blog!
wow, i nvr actually try Disney Infinity. But since u r one of the concept artist, maybe I will try it out soon xD
Great design by the way
Oh sweet jesus, you're working for that game?! Awesome!
OH WOW! This looks AMAZING! I love the toy studs on them, amazing.
Awesome work! I get sick to my stomach thinking that the concept team at/and Junction Point was offered the opportunity to help out on Infinity and that our bosses egos got the better of them and we were shut down. great great stuff guys. Its about time you had a big hit. its been a while.
Yeah, it's a shame how things played out there. You guys had a great team of artists and tech that were hindered by management in some unfortunate ways. When we were helping out with Epic Mickey we loved working with the team there when we could. I hope things are going okay for you now.
well I've been doing great working on contracts. I havent listed any work though because hr said if i was rehired within a year of the layoff date I could continue my tenure and benefits and not have to start over. as long as i showed I havent been working. our little concept team was great. we all really loved what you guys did over there on your team.
Anyway you made some really fun designs for it. I look forwad to buying a couple Figs. Davy is by far my fave.
This is my favorite one by you so far!
I love the "toy" joints. very cool! very crisp overall design. a perfect silhouette for the character.
Flagged as Spam
This is fantastic
love'n this. Off to see Aladdin again right now because of this.
Nice volumes and shading! Love it!
That looks beautiful!
How does it feels to get one of your concept materialised? You're a lead concept, right?
Not lead, just a concept artist. I used to be a lead but I didn't like dealing with all the extra management/scheduling stuff.
But yeah, it always feels good to have your concept made. Because the vast majority of the concepts you do are rejected just because that's how it is.
Love this! Interesting sketches as well! (:
oh yes, sweet sweet
awesome. this would make a really nice toy
